Former AC Milan defender Giuseppe Pancaro says Paolo Maldini was spot on with his criticisms of the club last week.
Maldini lambasted the culture at his former club and the ego of general manager Adriano Galliani.
Pancaro told Calciomercato.it: "Paolo has said so many things that were right, no one knows better than he the locker room of Milan.
"I believe that his return to the club, regardless of the role he can play, could represent the rebirth of the club.
"He has a wealth of experience with Milan and in football and as such it should be exploited."
Pancaro added: "The strength of Milan in recent years has been Berlusconi's administration. It's crucial, regardless of Galliani, the harmony between the corporate structure and the club continues."
