Panathinaikos coach Henk ten Cate is planning to raid former club Chelsea to boost his defence.
Brazil international defender Alex is in Ten Cate's sights ahead of the January market.
Ten Cate worked with Alex at Stamford Bridge last season and knows the Brazilian well from their time competing in the Dutch top-flight.
