Manchester United legend Gary Pallister doesn't believe Marouane Fellaini is the answer to manager David Moyes' midfield problems.
Moves for Cesc Fabregas, Ander Herrera and Thiago Alcantara all failed and Pallister reckons United have to keep spending.
Pallister told the Daily Star: "They were chasing Fabregas and there was talk about a late bid for Gareth Bale.
"They're the kind of signings that really stoke the fans up as well as the players.
"Fellaini's a good buy but I still think we're lacking a creative midfielder.
"It's a position David Moyes needs and he will be trying again. United need a player that gives you a different dimension in there.
"I'm sure there will be one or two new signings in January - I think they might go back in for Herrera."
