Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is spending tonight mulling over the future of coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

The Rosanero now prop up the table after defeat to Atalanta.

"Despite being aware of the difficult situation that the team is going through, I am certain we have a squad that will save itself," wrote Zamparini on the official club website.

"I will take a night to reflect and decide what is best for Palermo."
