Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini was furious with their 3-1 defeat to Serie C Portogruaro.

"Stop it, stop it!" Zamparini shouted from his seat, according to the Corriere dello Sport. "Colantuono, make them stop!"

For his part, Colantuono afterwards complained about the friendly's timing.

He said: "There is no point stirring up controversy here over the very organisation of this friendly. The other team was far sharper and we only lasted for the opening 15 minutes.

"When I arrived at the hotel, I saw it was nearly 40 degrees C outside and alternated between two squads.

"Let's not forget we were much more impressive against Eintracht Frankfurt last week, who are a better team than Portogruaro."
