Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed he's rejected an offer from Chelsea for midfielder Javier Pastore.

The 20-year-old, who is currently in his first season with Palermo, is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in world football.

"Pastore is one of the strongest players that I have ever had. The important thing is not to burn him out," Zamparini explained.

"Chelsea asked for him, but we said no."
