Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini had praise for Fabio Simplicio after his scoring performance against Empoli on Wednesday night.

Zamparini said: "I am happy for the excellent performance of Simplicio which was crowned with a goal. So far his performances have been below his quality, but I believe that on Wednesday he has reversed the trend.

"I hope to now see the Simplicio we all know."
