Palermo sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco has cooled reports linking them with River Plate striker David Trezeguet.

The former Juventus forward's agent claimed talks with Palermo this week.

"I do not know where this has come from," Lo Monaco told sportal.it. "Trezeguet will not join Palermo. I'm not sure what the source of this rumour is, but there is certainly no interest in the player."
