Palermo coach Beppe Iachini has apologised for their Coppa Italia humiliation by Modena.
The Sicilians were knocked out of the competition with a 3-0 home defeat.
"I'm sorry for the fans and can only apologise, but we had to evaluate certain things," Iachini told reporters.
"I am relaxed, the team is training well and with time we will develop that work.
"We still need to work on certain situations, but this match was the only opportunity to test out some players.
"This is another step forward, but over the next few games we will start to see the usual Palermo."
