Wilson Palacios will remain at Wigan Athletic after the club rejected an offer from Tottenham Hotspur.
The offer was reported to be £10 million which Latics chairman Dave Whelan said was 'not enough'.
It is believed Harry Redknapp and the Spurs will up the ante on their bid but a move loosk unlikely as Latics boss Steve Bruce has been extremely impressed with the form of the 24-year old and also revealed there has been offers from other clubs in Europe.
They are not the only ones either," Bruce said of Tottenham's interest.
"There is one from Spain and another from Germany.
"To be fair we only received the Tottenham one at 8pm last night when I got a call from our chief executive.
"I have not even had a chance to talk with the lad yet but he has only enhanced his reputation with his performance here tonight.
"In two years' time Wilson will be as good a midfielder as there is."
