Rreports that managerless Crystal Palace have turned to Eddie Howe of Bournemouth as a replacement for the sacked George Burley, has left the Cherries boss in something of a quandary. The much admired Howe has reportedly been offered the Palace job and must now decide whether to join the Championship strugglers or stay with the high-flying south-coast club.
"This club, the supporters and the players mean so much to me. I have got a battle with myself and have got to come to a decision that is right for everybody," said Howe. "I can't thank the supporters enough for everything they have done for me and their reaction. It is a day that will live long in the memory.
"I would never leave this club on a whim just because I have had an offer somewhere else. I have loved every minute of this job.
"People say it is a nice position to be in but it does not feel like that at the moment. When you see the players playing like that it makes it even harder. I thought it was an outstanding performance."
