Neil Warnock has promised Shefki Kuqi he will get the chance to resurrect his career at Crystal Palace when his loan spell at Fulham expires.

Finnish striker Kuqi is currently on loan at Fulham after failing to shine with the Eagles, who he joined from Blackburn in August 2006.

But he is due back in south-east London later this month - unless Fulham offer a permanent deal - and Warnock says the slate has been wiped clean.

"I would like to see how Shefki does with us - unless a concrete offer comes I don't think we'll be looking to loan him out again," he said.

"He didn't have a good time when he was here but there are a number of the current squad you could say the same about before they started working with me."
