Palace fullback Clyne using Everton's Rodwell as inspiration

Crystal Palace fullback Nathaniel Clyne says he's inspired by England U21 teammate Jack Rodwell's elevation to the senior national team.

Clyne played with the Everton midfielder in the U21s.

"As long as you are good enough, it doesn't matter how old you are," he told thefa.com.

"If you are called upon, you are obviously good enough.

"It's good to see that young lads are getting in to the first team and that, if you take your chances, you can get in there."
