Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew admits leaving Newcastle United due to a poor relationship with fans.
Pardew quit Newcastle earlier this year to return to Palace.
Pardew, speaking on Goals on Sunday, said: "We had a difficult start. Then we went on a fantastic run and then lost both goalkeepers which is pretty unique.
"At that point the fans fell out of love with me. It's very difficult for a manager to win that back."
But Pardew said he misses being at Newcastle.
He said: "You get difficulties as a manager and you have to see them through. I had five years there.
"People come up to me and say: 'You must be so pleased you are away from Newcastle'. I actually miss Newcastle.
"My day-to-day was fantastic. The people there were so kind to me but you know the support is such that it is intense.
"They want their team to win."
