Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew wants to keep hold of Glenn Murray.
Pardew is reluctant to let Murray leave on loan, as he looks to strengthen his attacking options.
"My view of strikers has always been the same," he said. "They are always a gamble, whichever striker you take. I have been very fortunate that most of my strikers hit the ground running.
"They are all risks. They said you should not sign Demba Ba. People told me he had one leg and could not do this and that but he was unbelievable [at Newcastle]. You give them belief and hopefully they deliver. Glenn was terrific on Saturday and he has done himself no harm."
