Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has named Scott Dann as captain for their clash at Liverpool.

Dann, who is from Merseyside and a big Liverpool fan, will come against Steven Gerrard for the midfielder's final Anfield appearance.

Pardew said: "I'm going to make him captain on the day, because I think it will be a nice touch for him as Gerrard is someone he really looked up to."

Dann was named Palace's Player of the Year this week.
