Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is open to a reunion with his former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi.

Pardew revealed that apart from trying to sign striker Bafetimbi Gomis from Swansea, he is also interested in a former Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi, currently a free agent after leaving Turkish club Gaziantep.

He said: "I like Shola he is a good professional. And Jermaine Defoe.

"There is no striker I am not interested in at the moment."
