Diego Forlan gave Atletico a shock early lead at the Bernabeu.
However, Real over ran Atletico as Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil struck for the hosts.
Ozil enjoyed an outstanding game, scoring once and also laying on Ronaldo's goal.
