Owen Coyle has been sacked by Wigan Athletic.
Wigan lost at the DW Stadium on Sunday for the third time in a week and Coyle met chairman Dave Whelan afterwards for crisis talks where it was decided to end the Scot's brief reign.
Despite possessing one of the Championship's strongest squads, they are 14th with 22 points from 16 games.
Whelan had returned from Barbados and went to Sunday's game where he witnessed the unrest among the crowd about the football being played.
His sacking will be announced by the club on Monday, reports the Daily Mail.
