Out-of-favour Chelsea striker Remy on Crystal Palace radar

Crystal Palace have joined the race for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, according to reports.

The London Evening Standard suggests that Palace boss Alan Pardew is interested in the 29-year-old as he continues his search for a pair of new striker before the close of the summer transfer window.

Remy does not feature in Antonio Conte's plans at Stamford Bridge and has reportedly been told he can leave the West London club.

Everton have been heavily linked with Remy but only as part of a player-exchange plus cash deal involving Romelu Lukaku who the Toffees have no intention of letting go.

Spanish club Villarreal and Turkish pair Besiktas and Galatasaray are also keen on Remy who is unlikely to return to former club Olympique Lyon after manager Bruno Genesio denied interest in the player.

Palace remain in the market for a new striker and see Remy as a potentially affordable option alongside Liverpool's Christian Benteke for whom they had an offer rejected on Tuesday.
