Tim Sherwood says he has no complaints about Aston Villa's 17th-place finish in the Premier League.
The Villans were beaten 1-0 at home by relegated Burnley on Sunday to end the campaign just three points above the relegation zone.
When assessing Villa's season, Sherwood said you cannot hide away from the truth of their eventual position in England's top flight standings.
"It tells no lies, where you finish in the league is where you deserve to finish," he said.
"We have a lot of players, and we can't just keep bringing them in. The mentality needs to change, it's been a club used to losing games and it's not good."
Villa get the chance to redeem themselves when they face Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
