Osako nets first 1860 Munich goal as Halloran does likewise for Dusseldorf

Yuya Osako has scored his first goal in Germany since arriving from Japan.

The 23-year old striker joined 1860 Munich from Kashima Antlers last month and made an immediate impact by netting in the 2.Bundesliga 1-1 draw with Fortuna Dusseldorf at the Allianz Arena on Monday.

Osako pounced on an error from Dusseldorf keeper Fabian Giefer in the 63rd minute to put 1860 ahead but Australian forward Ben Halloran equalised for the visitors in the 70th minute.

The goal was the first in Germany's second division for former Gold Coast United young gun Halloran who joined the Fortunen from Brisbane Roar in May 2013.
