Orlando City target Stoke keeper Butland

Orlando City are eyeing Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.

The Daily Star says MLS expansion club Orlando City want to take the goalkeeper on loan for the first part of the next American season.

Stoke stopper Butland, 21, is currently on loan at Championship side Derby until January.

But Orlando have identified him as the perfect candidate to help them out of a goalkeeping crisis.

Their new signing Tally Hall is not expected back from a serious knee ligament injury until the beginning of June.

Orlando want to bring in Butland to cover for Hall's absence though to next summer.

They have already announced themselves by signing ex-AC Milan and Real Madrid star Kaka.
