Orlando City are closing on a deal for Stoke City winger Brek Shea.
The Orlando Sentinel reports Orlando City is finalising a move to sign the U.S. winger, according to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the move.
The transfer, expected to be completed in the coming days, will bring back the former Major League Soccer All-Star and Best XI selection and could reinvigorate the career of a top U.S. prospect.
The 24-year-old has struggled to win a first team role at the Britannia Stadium since the club fought to secure him a work permit in January 2013.
The £2.5m man has only made one start, in the League Cup, and has been unable to make a positive impression in loan spells at Barnsley and Birmingham City.
Shea had trained with Orlando in the summer but insisted he still wanted to prove himself in Europe.
