Orlando City SC have confirmed the appointment of Mark Watson as assistant coach.
The MLS expansion franchise has brought in the 44-year old Canadian tactician following his spell as head coach with San Jose Earthquakes which ended in October this year.
Watson, who served as Quakes assistant for three years from 2010, will become Adrian Heath's right-hand man for the 2015 MLS season which has delighted the Lions boss ahead of their inaugural top flight campaign.
"As we continue to build our squad heading into our MLS debut, we are thrilled to add a coach of Mark's caliber and experience to our staff," Heath said in a club statement.
"Mark's expertise complements our existing technical staff, and we look forward to his contributions as we continue to build and prepare the team for our MLS debut."
Watson, a former Seattle Sounders, Oxford United and Vancouver Whitecaps player, added: "It's a great opportunity to join Orlando City at such an important time.
"I'm looking forward to working together with Coach Heath and the excellent staff he has in place to help the team launch a highly competitive 2015 campaign."
