AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu made his first appearance with new club FC Twente on Wednesday night.

The 28-year old USA international has joined the Dutch Eredivisie club for the remainder of the season and his presence immediately proved positive as the Enschede club smashed derby rivals SC Heracles Almelo 5-0 at De Grolsch Veste.

Onyewu played a full 90 minutes at left back and his solid performance helped Twente go within a point of league leaders PSV Eindhoven.
