Olsson urging West Brom team-mate Odemwingie to continue scoring form

West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie netted a weekend hat-trick against Wolves and defender Jonas Olsson is hoping this will kick the hitman's season. Odemwingie netted 15 times in his debut season but has struggled with injuries and a loss of form during the current campaign.

Olsson told Press Association Sport: "I know how frustrating it is for a striker when he is struggling a bit with scoring goals.

"Everyone knows Peter has got it in him. It was great for him to get the hat-trick and maybe he will kick on now and keep scoring.

"When he is on form, he is one of the best strikers in the league. Scoring 15 goals for us last season was fantastic.

"It is one thing doing that for a Manchester United or an Arsenal but scoring 15 goals for West Brom is a top performance."

Olsson is full of praise for the way the Nigeria international has fought his way back to form.

He said: "Peter is a good pro, a nice guy. He has kept working hard and I'm very happy for him things have come right.

"I think he is emotional in the way he is devoted to his work and really professional in all that he does.

"When you are struggling, he is one of those guys who takes it very seriously. He has kept working hard and got his rewards at Molineux."
