West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson believes it is vital for the good of the club that Roy Hodgson stays on as manager.
The Baggies skipper is well aware that his club boss is a candidate for the vacant England job after Fabio Capello's departure last week but hopes he sticks around at The Hawthorns as Albion continue to develop as a Premier League club.
"I am not surprised he is in the frame as one of the England candidates. He is a top manager and has done really well in the Premier League with Fulham and now us.
"In all the years I've been here people have seen we can play some really good football. But what we were lacking before the current gaffer came in was organisation and the shape of the team.
"He is a top coach at bringing that together, maybe the best in England - the best I have worked with from that perspective, definitely. I really hope for him to stay at this club.""I think it is important for the club's development. Everyone at the club is very happy with him," he told Express & Star.
