Oliver Norwood: Sheffield Utd players determined to complete record-breaking season

Oliver Norwood says Sheffield United are maintaining their focus by striving to deliver the club's best ever season.

The Blades are seventh on the table after playing 28 matches this season.

Games are currently suspended until April 30 due to the coronavirus outbreak, but Norwood doesn't want his team-mates to lose their focus.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5Live, the midfielder said: "It's important (to focused), especially with the season we're having as a team and as a football club.

"We don't want to restart and be left miles behind (in terms of fitness) now, because we've put ourselves in a position where we could have the greatest ever season in Sheffield United's history; that's something we're keen to carry on when we do restart. Every time I'm running or on the bikes, that's the reason I'm doing it.

Norwood added: "At this moment in time football is irrelevant with this pandemic going on in the world. Obviously we'd love to be able to continue and finish this season off, but we're governed by the powers that be, and they decide what happens."
