Oldham Athletic have offered Player of the Year James Wesolowski a new contract according to BBC Sports.
The 26-year old Australian midfielder, who landed five prizes at the Latics awards night on Tuesday, is out of contract in June but the League One club are determined to keep him at Boundary Park.
Manager Lee Johnson told the Oldham Evening Chronicle that he was keen to keep Wesolowski at the club after landing the Optima Cars Man of the Match award, Trust Oldham Player of the Season and Player's Player of the Year award as well as his Player of the Season gong.
"I think he genuinely wants to stay," Johnson said.
"I like Weso a lot and want to keep him. We will try to find a happy medium where everyone is content."
BBC reported on Thursday that Wesolowski, who arrived from Peterborough United in 2011, had been offered a new contract by Oldham.
