Oldham Athletic boss Paul Dickov is delighted for Manchester City fans over last season's title triumph.

Dickov is a former Maine Road favourite.

"I think what's happened is fantastic," he told the Manchester Evening News. "I know people knock them for the money they have spent but there are a lot of good people who have been there a long time who deserve it.

"I am also delighted for the fans because, even when I played, we put them through some hellish times. They are a fantastic bunch of supporters. Just phenomenal. I am over the moon for them and for the likes of (kitman) Les Chapman and (manager's PA) Claire Marsden, the people behind the scenes.

"People don't necessarily recognise what they do."
