Federico Macheda's agent suggests that both Celtic and Rangers are showing considerable interest in his client.
The 22-year old Italian striker, who is on loan at Birmingham City from Manchester United, could be on the move from Old Trafford this summer with a shift to Scotland a possibility.
Macheda's representative Giovanni Bia has revealed that the Old Firm rivals are jockeying for position as the former Sampdoria, QPR, Stuttgart and Doncaster Rovers loanee prepares to exit United at the end of the season.
"There is the possibility of staying in England. But Glasgow Rangers have been persistent and Celtic especially so," said Bia.
Macheda, who will be available on a free transfer, has been with Birmingham since the end of January and has thus far scored five goals in nine outings including a brace in the 3-3 draw with second-placed Burnley last Wednesday.
