Jores Okore feels that Aston Villa are capable of emulating Leicester City by avoiding relegation this season.
Villa gave themselves a slight chance of avoiding the drop after claiming a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday night but despite the triumph, the Villans sit seven points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table.
Many still feel that Villa are certainties to go down this season but defender Okore has stated there is a belief within the club that they can pull off a Leicester and avoid the drop by enjoying a good run of results after the turn of the year.
Okore said: "Of course we can, we all believe we can do it, we wouldn't be here otherwise. We have the belief we can get on a run now with two big games coming up.
"If we get something against those two teams, then everything seems possible. It's going to be close. They (Leicester) did really well last year. If they can do it, we need to believe we can do it too.
"I don't know about miracles, but it'd be a really big thing. It's something that won't be forgotten in a hurry if we stay up."
