Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk says their 3-3 draw with Manchester United was a good moment for Turkish football.
Gala fought back from 3-1 down to earn a Champions League point.
Okan said, "We gave positions to the opponent, we could have conceded a goal after 3-3. It's a bit like Russian roulette. We started well in the first episode. The opponent's first shot was a goal, the second shot was a goal. We are in the game 2-1. When I felt the match from the bench, I felt like we could score goals and win. I also told the players at halftime.
"We conceded the 3rd goal without giving a clear position. We could both win and lose. It was a very good match. It must be said that Galatasaray and Turkish football deserve praise. It would have been great if we had won, but we didn't lose.
"If we win in the last match, we leave the group. We played good football. There was one very important missing person, Davinson Sanchez. He was very valuable. Davinson's absence changed our plans. I started with Kaan (Ayhan) because I wanted to start with a passer from the back. The scenario without Davinson was more difficult. Teams that play in transition play effectively. We are sorry that we lost 2 points."
