NYRB star Wright-Phillips named MLS Player of the Week

Bradley Wright-Phillips is the MLS Player of the Week for Week 10 of the 2015 season.

The New York Red Bulls striker scored a double as his side defeated New York City 2-1 in the first NY derby at the Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

Former Manchester City, Southampton and Charlton Athletic ace Wright-Phillips netted in the fourth and 52nd minutes as the Red Bulls overcame the sending off of Matt Miazga with ten minutes remaining in the first half to see off the challenge of City.

Wright-Phillips took his season tally to five goals which has him sitting on 33 for the Red Bulls - fifth on the club's all-time leading scorer chart.
