New York Red Bulls defender Chris Albright is expected to miss up to six weeks after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.
The 32-year old full-back had a small tear in his left meniscus repaired yesterday and will begin rehab soon in a bid to get back as soon as possible.
The best case for the for the former DC United, LA Galaxy and New England Revolution man is four weeks but the likelihood is that he will return sometime in mid-April.
Albright was acquired cheaply by New York prior to the 2010 season and managed 18 league appearances last season after missing most of 2009 with the Revs due to knee injuries.
