Ibrahim Salou has been released by MLS club New York Red Bulls.
The 31-year old Ghanaian striker has left the club after just one season and will reportedly return to Europe.
Salou joined the Red Bulls in April last season from Danish club Velje BK and managed 19 appearances, scoring three times for the New York giants.
It became apparent during pre-season that the former Club Brugge man would be on his way out of Red Bull Arena with French veteran Thierry Henry and young gun Juan Agudelo likely to be used up front by Hans Backe this season.
