New York Red Bulls have reportedly made an offer to Nigel Reo-Coker.
The 28-year old former West Ham United, Aston Villa and Bolton midfielder is a free agent after finishing a short-term spell with Ipswich Town.
Sky Sports reports suggest that the Red Bulls are keen to bring Reo-Coker in as a key central midfielder but will have to compete with clubs from France, Germany and Turkey who are also showing considerable interest.
