New York Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch has played down claims that the club is in pursuit of Kevin-Prince Boateng.
It emerged last week that the Red Bulls were set to go after the Schalke midfielder but in an interview with MLSsoccer.com's Eric Giacometti, Marsch said the Red Bulls have no intentions of bringing the 28-year old German-born Ghana international to New Jersey.
Marsch was then quizzed by BigAppleSoccer.com on the Boateng rumours but his message did not alter.
"Not much has changed," he said.
"I'll just say that nothing has changed from what I said before."
Former Hertha Berlin, Tottenham, Portsmouth and AC Milan midfielder Boateng is having issues at Schalke and has been heavily linked with an exit this summer but according to Marsch, it will not be to the Red Bulls.
