New York Red Bulls ace Luke Rodgers is back in the United Kingdom trying to get a visa so he can return to the USA.
The 30-year old former Shrewsbury Town and Notts County striker spent the 2011 MLS season with the Red Bulls after being granted a working visa despite having been arrested on a few occasions for various indiscretions in England.
Rodgers was initially given a one-year visa but needs a new one so he can return to New York to continue his career.
"We're still waiting for an answer from the embassy about an appointment,'' said Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe. "Hopefully he gets an appointment this week so we'll know where we stand.''
