New York Red Bulls head coach Mike Petke is remaining positive ahead of the 2013 MLS season.
The Red Bulls failed to record a win in four matches at the Desert Diamonds Cup, finishing fourth of four teams, and scoring just three goals.
Despite that average performance, Petke feels that things are looking good less than a week out from the new campaign.
"Our goal was to end preseason on positive note and, this is probably the only time you'll hear me say this after a loss, but we ended on a positive note," Petke told reporters after the 2-0 loss to New England Revolution on the weekend.
"We were all over them.
"The real positive side is how much we created, how much those guys influenced what we did as a team after going down 2-0, not hanging heads, pushing everybody on. To us, that was a big turning point in preseason today."
