New York Red Bulls have added two more defensive players to their already massive injury list with Stephen Keel and Jan Gunnar Solli now incapacitated.
Central defender Keel has a back problem and may miss at least three weeks whilst right-back Solli has a calf issue but could be back sooner rather than later.
"That has been going on for a while. A stress fracture is over a period of time. So it was so, so stiff that he went for a scan and it's a stress fracture.
"Solli has a scan today. His calf, he got a really bad hit against D.C. Hopefully it's just a formality that it's nothing else.""Keel is out for minimum three weeks," head coach Hans Backe said. "It's a stress fracture in his back.
The pair join Wilman Conde and Roy Miller as defenders in the medical room whilst midfielder Teemu Tainio and striker Juan Agudelo are still sidelined.
"Wilman is almost the same as Keel; we're talking about three to four weeks," added Backe. "Teemu Tainio minimum four weeks. Roy Miller 10 to 14 days. Agudelo, perhaps, in a week [to] 10 days start training."
