Nurnberg general manager Martin Bader has revealed an approach from Aston Villa for Japan midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake.

The Bundesliga side have no intention of letting go of Kiyotake, who is under contract until June 2015 and has established himself a key player after joining at the start of last season.

Bader told Nurnberger Nachrichten newspaper: "I am able to confirm this transfer enquiry from Aston Villa.

"We have made it clear to Aston Villa we have no interest nor intention to sell the player."
