Nuremberg's Vidosic eyeing game time against Slovenia

FC Nuremberg forward Dario Vidosic is hoping for any amount of game time for Australia in tomorrow morning's international friendly with Slovenia.

The 23-year old is hoping to put in a good shift when the Socceroos meet the Eastern European nation in Ljubljana at 4:45am AEST on Thursday, knowing that the new national team coach (to be announced later today) will be watching.

"It doesn't matter if I play a full game, 70 minutes, 30 minutes or less. I'll be out there to do my best the same way I do every time I play for the national team," he said.

"I remember the first chance I got to impress Pim (Verbeek) at a camp in Brisbane I did very well, and I think he was impressed straight away with me.

"I've had that experience. I've done it before and I believe I can do it again."

And with the impending announcement of Verbeek's replacement, Vidosic knows the friendly is a great way to make a good first impression on the new boss.

"It's a good chance for everyone - not just me," Vidosic added.

"It's a little bit more relaxed than it was under Pim and you can enjoy your football.

"(Interim coach) Han (Berger) wants everyone to express ourselves and play well."
