Valencia coach Nuno is close to signing a new deal.
The Portuguese only arrived this year, but has inspired Los Che into the title race.
Marca says Nuno will soon be signing his new contract that will keep him on at Valencia until 30th June 2017.
His present contract runs out at the end of this season although it does include a clause that includes the possibility of extending the arrangement for a further year.
He has grown at the helm of Valencia, and so now has his salary. The Portuguese will soon be earning nearly 2 million a year after taxes, with additional bonuses based on results.
