Leicester City are sweating over the fitness of striker David Nugent ahead of their all-important clash against Burnley this weekend.
Nugent pulled a calf muscle in the warm-up before last week's crucial home win over Swansea City and manager Nigel Pearson has put his participation for the clash against Burnley this weekend in doubt by stating that the ex-Clarets striker will have to be assessed ahead of the game.
"We have still got a few bumps and bruises that we are looking at so we will wait until the weekend to make the final decisions," said Pearson. "I think going into the last game we had more or less a full squad but we have one or two with niggles.
"Nugent will be touch and go. We will have a look at that tomorrow but Marcin should be okay. I am aware of Nuge's record against Burnley, although he has one or two teams who are particularly productive for him.
"Ultimately, team selection comes down to what is right for the team and we have a heavy week coming up. When you get situations like that there are different things to consider."
Leicester will be desperate to call on the services of Nugent for the clash against former loan club Burnley as he has scored eight times against the Clarets in his career.
