Nowak not getting carried away with debut Philadelphia Union win

Philadelphia Union coach Peter Nowak was not getting carried away with the franchise's first win after they defeated DC United 3-2.

Although Nowak was happy to grab his first lot of three points, he wanted to make sure that his players progressed further before being comfortable with the performances.

"People get overexcited about how fast we can develop," Nowak said. "I think we still need progress. We're not going to lose focus on the way we want to try to play, and someday we're going to have results. Today is more about excitement, so we will let them play as they are, and we'll see what we need to do."

The Union are now one win and win loss from their opening two matches as they prepare to take on Toronto FC at BMO Field on Thursday.
