The on-again off-again relationship between New York Red Bulls and Notts County forward Luke Rodgers is believed to be very much on-again.

The 28-year old Englishman has been courted for some time by the Red Bulls but legal problems, stemming from his assault and affray charges back home, have halted any possible move.

But a recent report in Metro suggests that Rodgers will sign a two-year deal worth $400,000 with an option for a further two seasons.

Rodgers scored 13 goals in the 2009/10 season to help Notts win promotion from League Two but has fallen out of favour under Paul Ince this term.
