Notts County chief Sven Goran Eriksson insists he won't interfere in the work of new manager Hans Backe.
The former England coach says he intends to allow his compatriot the freedom he wants to shape the Magpies' squad as he sees fit after his protege at Manchester City formally took charge.
"I'm not going to be hands on' said Eriksson. "There will be discussions between us and I will look at the preparations for games but Hans and the coaching staff will do the training and tactics.
"If they need me for advice, I'll be there, but I'm not going to interfere.
"I remain totally committed to the job. I said it from the first day - and nothing has changed.
"Does it keep irritating me that people say I'll go. I'm still here and I hope to be here in five years. I hope to be sitting up in the stands, watching Premier League football."
