Nottingham Forest want to retain Arsenal's Ramsey

Nottingham Forest want to have Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey longer than his initial loan spell.

The 19-year old Wales international joined the English Championship club in late November with the view of getting back to full fitness following a badly broken leg but is set to rejoin the Gunners just after the New Year.

But Forest boss Billy Davies says the club can give him plenty of game time and has indicated that he would like the promising midfielder to stay at the City Ground.

"The idea was to get him playing again and we can offer him that," Davies said.

So far, Ramsey has made two substitute appearances for Forest, playing 30 minutes in the 1-0 loss at Leicester city before getting just under 20 minutes in the 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace.
